FansubCMS 0.9 is nearly done

Added by Hikaru-Shindo 11 months ago

You may noticed or may not noticed, that version 0.9 Pikachu of FansubCMS is nearly done.

All that's missing is a check of the new task management by Kaimei so kick his ass if you want to get it faster ;)
For all the people not willing to wait for the final QAs you may use the github branch 0.9.

The following things are the great new features:

  • Task management for each project (episode) [Will be improved even more in future releases]
  • Project user management [You may add users to a project and assign them some function]
  • Project Status gadget [Yes, now you can show the status on the front page. This was delayed because the task management was needed]
  • Admin usability stuff [Now you may sort table pages... Will be improved in the future by filters etc.]
  • Lots of bugfixes and minor improvements

So be curious on the release ;)

That's all for new,
Your development team

Because someone asked if we could have a support board and I thought it wouldn't be a bad idea I set up a support board.

FansubCMS 0.8.2 released

Added by Hikaru-Shindo over 1 year ago

This release fixes some issues with the installer when not in development mode and adds a few features for the comment administration.

Further work on the administration of comments is planned for next minor releases and will (as every other feature) not be included in (hopefully not needed) next bugfix release.

Have fun with these fixes ;)

FansubCMS 0.8.1 released

Added by Hikaru-Shindo over 1 year ago

Since there were some minor problems in Pichu we decided to release them in this release with the version number 0.8.1.

Changelog:

  • Some forms now strip HTML tags and spaces in front and after the value
  • Email addresses will now be validated more strictly
  • New comments can no longer be written with the name of a group member
  • It will now raise a form error if you try to add a user with the same name as an existing user instead of an application error
  • Logged in users do not need to input their name and email address while commenting forms
  • some minor fixes (see git commit log for details)

Pichu is out!

Added by Hikaru-Shindo over 1 year ago

Hey Guys,

it's a day later then I had planned but you know christmas and all... Finally we got to the release of Pichu the first version of FansubCMS not considered as a Working Copy ;)

As you guys can see each minor (and major) release of FansubCMS is named after a Pokémon (since there are enough out there and it's kinda suitable).

Bugfix releases will just get a new number (0.8.1 for example)

Now get out there and try it out (If you need installation advice since it is not bundled at the moment and the wiki is not nearly complete yet you can ask the op'd people at the IRC channel #fansubcode @ irc.otakubox.de)

Yours faithfully,
FansubCMS Dev Team

Changed from SVN to GitHub

Added by Hikaru-Shindo over 1 year ago

Bacause git is more flexible then SVN and GitHub is a good platform for hosting open source projects we decided to change from our SVN repository to a GitHub-powered Git repository.

You can find the new repository here:
